The Advance Adapters Atlas gear-driven transfer cases are the ultimate in gearing and strength. With over 20,000 units sold, the Atlas 2 speed is the solution for combining both on and off-road performance.
The name is legendary and synonymous with rock crawling and off-road vehicle performance. Atlas Transfer Cases have won over the industry for their superior performance, bullet proof design and their ability to get you anywhere you want to go. The Atlas Transfer Case is sure to change the way your vehicle performs off-road. You will benefit greatly by understanding the Atlas characteristics and how to apply them for the ultimate in performance!
FEATURES BENEFITS:
- 1.5" IDLER PIN
- Helical Cut Gears = Stronger and Quieter than Reduction Planetaries Gear Driven = No Chain Stretch
- Full Complement of Bearings = No Direct Shaft to Bore contact for Strength & Efficiency
- Solid One Piece Case Design utilizing 356-T6 = Stronger than Two Piece Split Case Design
- Synchronized Shifting = Shift-on-the-Fly capability
- Large Rear Output Shaft = Non-twisting and bulletproof
- O.E.M. Speedometer Gear = Easy connection to existing components
- Twin Stick for enhanced Off Road Capabilities = Enabling not only 4WD Low but also Front or Rear WD Low Capability
- Incomplete Unit = These units are NOT a Fully-assembled "Ready-To-Be-Installed" transfer case. This is the main piece of the case and internals. Input, output, yokes, shifters, etc. will need to be purchased seperately.
This ratio is slightly lower than most stock transfer cases, allowing you to increase tire size without losing the needed gearing. Like the Ultra and Extreme Low units, this unit will also give a definite advantage when replacing a Ford chain-driven transfer case. The strength of this unit far exceeds any of the stock Ford transfer cases in the 1980-96 Broncos and F150 trucks.
Through the analysis of other successful transfer case designs, Advance Adapters has manufactured a rugged, all gear-driven transfer case. Combining the latest in CAD/CAM technology and years of in-house CNC machining capabilities, the Atlas transfer case is sure to bring you the utmost in dependability and performance. The Atlas is available for both left and right hand vehicle applications with centered rear differentials.
The solid, one-piece case design is manufactured from 356-T6 heat-treated aluminum alloy. This material is also used for the structural access cover and all other exterior components. The massive gears are helical cut and synchro-equipped for quiet performance and "shift-on-the-fly" capability. These gears are supported by needle bearing elements, precision matched to strong 8620 shafts. The ruggedly designed output shafts are amply supported by large taper bearing sets. The Atlas also features a unique twin stick design to deliver crisp, quiet operation.
The Atlas transfer case offers you the ability to customize the transfer case to your vehicle. We offer several upgrades, options, and different configurations for this transfer case.
