The manufacturer designed a scoop that completely covers the original bump, resembles it in shape and appearance, and provides clearance for the added height of a 351W or a 5.0 w/EFI. It also has new horizontal inlets for ram air to your fresh air vent and heater box.
It uses the original latches and hinges from your old hood. It is not a “pin-on”. This is made from matched molds that finishes the outside AND underside. No raw resin and fiber to look at when you open the hood to show off your engine compartment.
There is steel plates inside the hood for the hinges, factory latch, and hood struts, the holes will have to be drilled and tapped. Accepts stock hardware.
