This vacuum pump operates the heater controls and four wheel drive front vacuum hubs on your Ford Diesel truck.
What happens when it fails?
Your heater defaults to defrost only, and your four wheel drive may not engage if the pump does not run at all. The pump may also fail and run continuously.
The pump is located on the passenger's side inner fender between the battery and the blower motor.
