Lower Shock Mount On Radius Arm
The stock replacement lower rear shock mount on a 1966–1979 Ford Bronco & 1967-79 Ford F100/150 4wd is a heavy-duty, formed steel bracket permanently secured to the factory radius arm. Located just behind the coil spring, this bracket serves as the critical anchor point for the bottom of the front shock absorber.
Features
- It is formed from thick-gauge, structural steel to withstand continuous suspension cycling and off-road impacts. The mount also has a bright zinc plated coating to help prevent corrosion.
- The factory original unit is flush-mounted and secured with robust steel rivets driven horizontally straight through the main beam body of the cast-radius arm, the original rivets can be removed and replaced with ½ inch bolts.
- The bracket features a pre-drilled horizontal through-holes designed to accept a standard lower shock mounting bolt. The thick steel of the bracket shields the rubber or polyurethane shock bushing, preventing lateral shifting or twisting underload.
