The exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor is an ideal replacement part, providing the driver proper exhaust gas temperature readings out of the exhaust or in the EGR system. Over time, the original EGT sensor corrodes from extreme exhaust heat and eventually results in the sensor breaking off inside the exhaust pipe when removed for replacement. Our OE FIX EGT sensor is available separately and includes a mounting bung to replace the corroded sensor inside the exhaust pipe.
