Protect your BW1356 transfer case before the oil pump retainer arm wears through the case!
This custom-fabricated Oil Pump Retainer / Pump Rub Case Saver is designed specifically for the Borg Warner BW1356 transfer case.
THE PROBLEM
The factory oil pump retainer arm can wear against the relatively soft transfer case housing. Over time, this can create a groove in the case and eventually wear completely through the housing.
THE SOLUTION
This upgraded retainer incorporates a 1/2-inch-thick steel wear surface at the contact point. The larger, more durable contact surface spreads the load from the oil pump arm and helps prevent it from continuing to wear into the transfer case housing.
Each retainer is TIG welded on all three forward-facing surfaces and individually clearanced for proper fitment on the BW1356 transfer case.
