They offer unparalleled strength and longer life—the outer stub is re-engineered for added strength; improved snap ring retention reduces shock load failures; and material has been removed from the body and added to the yoke ears (to equalize deflection through the yoke and reduce bearing cap spinning). The axles are made from durable steel, with a micro-alloy improving their strength and a statistically controlled heat treatment ensuring proper hardness.
